Hello! I’m Lychene Saah (pronounced Lee-chen Sah), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certified by the State of Texas. With a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling (Mental Health Counseling) and a Doctorate in Christian Counseling, my background combines a passion for mental health with a deep commitment to spiritual growth. In addition, I hold a second doctorate and multiple academic degrees across science and education from universities spanning three continents. This unique blend of experiences makes me a compassionate and analytical counselor, equipped to meet a wide array of emotional, mental, and personal needs.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, parenting struggles, marital conflicts, family issues, fear, self-worth, and self-esteem concerns. In addition to my work in mental health, I am also a certified and experienced educational counselor. I’ve supported hundreds of students in their college preparations, with many gaining acceptance to prestigious universities.

I take an eclectic and client-centered approach to therapy, tailoring my methods to suit your unique needs. Some of the therapeutic modalities I employ include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Christian Counseling (upon request). My ultimate goal is to help you uncover a more fulfilling and joyful journey in life.

 

 

A Bit About My Journey and Training:

 

Counseling has always been my calling. As early as high school, I dreamed of becoming a counselor. However, my natural aptitude for Math and Science initially led me down a different path, and I pursued post-graduate studies in Medical Parasitology in London. After working as a scientist, I relocated to the United States, where I eventually transitioned to the educational field. I earned a doctorate from Texas A&M University, focusing on Multicultural Education, and simultaneously obtained a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. During this time, I became a Certified School Counselor and a Certified Special Education Counselor, assisting countless young people in preparing for college.

Eventually, I chose to follow my true passion—mental health counseling—by obtaining a second doctorate in Christian Counseling and obtaining my LPC license. It has been a deeply rewarding journey, and I am now fully devoted to supporting others in their personal and emotional growth.
